Insurance
/01Do I have to go to the repair center my insurance recommends?
You have the right to select any repair shop of your choice to have your vehicle repaired. Often and typically insurance companies work with pre-selected shops and will try and direct you there. It’s called “steering” and is against the law in the State of Kansas.
/02Who do I call first, insurance or collision center?
We recommend you contact your insurance company first, then us due to liability issues that may be pending. However, if you are unsure that you have a qualifying claim that exceeds your deductible, you may want to see us first.
/03Where do I get my claim number?
Your claim number will be generated with the appropriate and paying insurance company. They should be able to provide that to you on the first report of the claim. Keep it handy as you will need it for the body-shop, the rental and any further communication with the insurance company.
/04Do I have to pay a deductible?
Yes. Your insurance company will pay the difference between the estimate and your deductible. In certain instances, a portion of your deductible may be waived by the repair shop as an incentive to have your vehicle repaired there. For example, we have deductible saving coupons on our website which you are welcome to print out and use.
/04When do I pay my deductible?
You will be responsible for paying your deductible after the repairs are completed unless prior arrangements have been made to finance the deductible.
